Closing Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations and Inaugural of the Academic Year 2025-2026

St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa witnessed a significant milestone on Saturday, 5th July 2025, as His Eminence Most Rev. Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao, Archbishop of Goa and Daman, inaugurated the New Academic year 2025-26 and officially concluded the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Institution. To mark the occasion, the newly developed Multipurpose Ground and Fitness Zone were blessed by His Eminence.

The solemn occasion commenced with a Eucharistic celebration whose theme was ‘Rooted in Gratitude, Growing in Hope, Thriving young Minds’.

This spiritual beginning was followed by the illumination of the symbols of the School Emblem, a gesture that reflected the light and values guiding the institution through its 50-years journey.

As a part of the programme, the Principal Mrs. Victoria Desouza warmly welcomed the gathering. The event featured the felicitation of the academic toppers (2025) and the deserving BMX Scholarship Awards to students, applauding their dedication.

In a significant moment the Past Pupil’s Association Logo and Constitution were released. Following this, the students put up a vibrant Cultural Program featuring a rich display of talent through music, dance and a melody of instruments. This was followed by a friendly Volleyball Exhibition Match showcasing unity and sportsmanship. The programme concluded with the singing of the School Anthem echoing pride and a renewed commitment to holistic education.
